The Information Systems & Technology Manager is responsible for providing leadership, planning and technical support for the Information Systems and Information Technology functions. This role ensures the reliability, security, scalability, and efficiency of all enterprise systems, infrastructure, applications, and data resources that support Company operations. Participates in developing and maintaining custom applications and databases. Provides customer service to end-users (in-person, over the phone and via written communications) of company computer applications and platforms.

  • Develops, mentors, and coaches internal technical resources; serves as subject matter expert for enterprise systems and applications.
  • Leads digital transformation, automation, system modernization, and enterprise technology initiatives aligned with business strategy.
  • Analyzes business processes and operational requirements to design, implement, and optimize software solutions (off-the-shelf and custom) that improve efficiency, integration, and performance across departments and subsidiaries.
  • Evaluates, recommends, and manages technology investments, system upgrades, vendor partnerships, and external service providers.
  • Oversees system integrations, including EDI solutions and custom interfaces between third-party and internal applications, ensuring data accuracy and process continuity.
  • Directs internal software development activities, including database design, table creation, functions, stored procedures, reporting optimization, and system performance tuning.
  • Ensures enterprise data integrity, system security, backup processes, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Establishes and maintains IT governance framework, policies, standards, cybersecurity controls, and best practices to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Manages IT infrastructure including servers, networks, cloud platforms, hardware, telecommunications, and cybersecurity systems, ensuring high availability and performance across plant and office locations.
  • Leads system implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and ongoing optimization projects to support operational excellence including integration of artificial intelligence.
  • Develops and maintains system documentation, user manuals, and technical reports to support training, maintenance, and audit requirements.
  • Assesses needs, recommends AI solutions, configures tools, provides training, and ensures safe, effective, and compliant use of AI.
  • Drives training, adoption, and workflow redesign efforts to maximize efficiency, compliance, and business impact of AI-driven improvements
  • Sets departmental goals in alignment with the company objectives and obtains planned results.
  • Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the work of department team members for effective and efficient operations.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Follows laws and regulations with regards to Human Resources and safety.

    Interviews, hires, and trains team members; develops work schedules; authorizes leave, PTO and overtime; reviews performance; disciplines team members; and addresses complaints and resolves problems.

    Ensures a safe work environment for all team members, identifying potential hazards and enforcing compliance with applicable occupational safety and health regulations.
  • Conducts meetings to communicate department and company changes.

    Recognizes achievements and promotes team member development for the purpose of enhancing knowledge and proficiency of team members.

    Creates an atmosphere that promotes team cohesiveness.
