Spanish Interpreter job at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse, WI.

• Relay medical information between speakers of two different languages.
• Ensure that information communicated by providers and staff is understood by the patient and family.
• Work cooperatively with other team members and departments.

On Call hours vary depending on need. Possible daytime hours and an on‑call rotation every other week (Friday at 4:30pm to the next Friday at 6:00am). Must be able to report to the LaCrosse campus within 60minutes of notification.

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• A passing score on an oral proficiency test through a language testing agency in the target language, evaluating knowledge of medical terminology (Gundersen will provide the test if selected).
• Strong customer service background, superior telephone and critical thinking skills.
• Motivated and flexible with a strong ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
