Position: SCA Pharmacy ClerkThe SCA Pharmacy Clerk performs duties and responsibilities related to the general overall support of the entire Distribution Operations Center (DOC).

Primary Responsibilities- Scanning:
Sort, prepare and scan medical documentation into Optum Serve and government furnished databases. Prepare original documentation for return shipment back to the customer and catalogue non-returnable documents for later disposition. Complete tasks utilizing government furnished databases to review medical requirements and create orders to assist other departments within Optum Serve. - Mentor associate staff with practical skills and hands‑on training.
- Work with DOC leadership to create and update DOC training and DMS resources for DOC employees, including but not limited to SOPs, work instructions, policies, and process flows.
- Provide feedback to DOC leadership on DOC operational processes and concerns.
- Maintain high production volume and quality by setting work standards to meet and exceed daily workforce metrics.
- Contribute continuous improvement ideas in association with Optum Serve and DOC lean six sigma initiatives.
- Gain knowledge and exhibit production efficiency across multiple work areas with the DOC.
- Assist additional Optum Serve departments outside of the DOC with all other operational tasks.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma/GED or 2+ years of applicable military experience.
- 1+ years of computer proficiency experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to perform operational tasks in two or more areas within the DOC.
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable).
- Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to provide on‑call phone support at night and on weekends within a rotation schedule.
- Capable of lifting 35 lbs frequently (34-66% of the time). Physical ability to bend, reach, twist, package and transport multi‑sized packages that range from 10-35 lbs frequently and 50+ lbs occasionally to rarely with assistance.
- Availability to work occasional weekends as required, roughly 5% per year.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Higher education degree in supply chain management, logistics, business or other related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse/distribution environment working with inventory management processes and shipping and receiving carriers. Knowledge of safety standards in a warehouse environment.
- OSHA safety certification.
- Knowledge of vaccine cold chain management and procedures.
- Experience with government contracting or military environment.
- Knowledge of military medical readiness requirements.
