Job Summary:Responsible for receiving raw materials and other production items and delivering them to internal customers or placing them in inventory; prepare finished goods for shipment; transportation of raw or finished materials and places in inventory; distribution of raw material to production personnel.

- Receipt of Material
- Efficiently receive, inspect and distribute material.
- Follows FIFO inventory practices.
- Organizes storage of goods to allow for optimal material flow through our facilities.
- Performs monthly audits of materials and finished goods to ensure accuracy of inventory.
- Timely Shipments
- Efficiently pick and pack customer orders for shipment.
- Ability to wrap skids for shipment to ensure damage free transport.
- Contract and coordinate freight pick up with vendors through our TMS system.
- Coordinate customer shipment information into web‑based systems to print pallet information as required.
- Maintain and order additional shipping supplies.
- Safe Workplace
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Conduct operations in compliance with Inland safety policies.
- Carry or transport orders to delivery and shipping locations with material handling equipment.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on equipment. Conducts physical inventories as required.
- Accurate Transactions
- Ensure correct quantity and product is loaded, shipped or received.
- Record appropriate shipment and material receipt data in ERP system.
- Support and communicate with Sales and Operations as to the status of their job completion.
- Material Movement
- Can operate forklifts and load/unload shipments with carriers.
- Safely operates Inland vehicles between all Inland facilities, while following DOT rules and regulations.
- Prioritizes needs effectively to ensure operational efficiency.
- Delivers to local customers and displays customer service attitude with customers.
- Productivity Measurements Met
- Meet standards for productivity and supports new process and procedures for increased productivity levels.
- Checks emails and communicates effectively
- Is trained and follows all Inland policies while working with hazardous waste
- Performs weekly hazmat audits to ensure compliance.
- High school diploma or general education degree required
- Valid driver license with good driving record, ability to obtain a MDOT card.
- CDL preferred
- Knowledge of shipping programs required.
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.
- Operates in a demanding, fast‑paced, people‑oriented manufacturing environment with frequent changes and interruptions, and multiple project assignments.
- Works with a variety of people including vendors, customers, employees, managers, and executives.
Work Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Must be flexible to attend meetings, functions and to be available during off hours, weekends, and holidays to meet organizational initiatives.
- Walk, sit, bend, stoop, push, pull and stand; lift 100 pounds
