LocationLaCrosse, WI – The plant employs 115 employees and is located near major highways and the LaCrosse Airport (≈7min).
Position OverviewProvide technical support and training to plant management and manufacturing personnel in the application of statistical tools and problem‑solving techniques, while evaluating and enhancing manufacturing quality, performance, and capability.
Duties and Responsibilities- Technical Support to Management Team – Conduct process analysis of plant manufacturing performance; perform statistical evaluations of equipment to determine capability; provide data analysis for maintenance scheduling; participate in audits; manage plant SPC training; coach hourly personnel on SPC utilization.
- Technical Support to Plant Personnel – Conduct training in basic SPC principles, statistical problem‑solving, gauge R&R accuracy and stability studies, and statistical software usage; support SOP development and training programs.
- Project Management / Teamwork Groups – Lead or participate in QIT/Management, SPC Implementation, SPC Certification, Gauge Maintenance, SOP, Six Sigma and Lean Process Improvement, and other improvement teams.
- Provide Quality Support – Design and run gauge R&R studies; manage SPC software and document control; maintain quality network systems; perform plant/process performance audits and document policies.
Minimum Requirements
- ≥3years of quality/engineering experience, including ≥1year in a manufacturing setting.
- Analytical skills for data evaluation and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab).
- Advanced knowledge of Statistical Process Control, Capability, Six Sigma, and gauge capability analysis.
- Technical writing, process improvement, and project management abilities.
- Shift flexibility – available for various shifts as required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Six Sigma Green‑Belt certification.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, both independently and collaboratively.
- Innovative thinking and “outside the box” mindset.
- Leadership, conflict resolution, communication, and decision‑making skills.
- Employee relations and motivational abilities.
- Excellent time, project management, oral, and written communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
Requires sitting, standing, walking, using hands and arms, and may involve kneeling or crawling. Lifting up to 10lbs. Visual acuity for close, distance, and color vision is required.
Working ConditionsPlant environment with occasional office work. May involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, vehicular traffic, temperature variations, and high noise levels.
