Position Overview
Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift at Select Custom Solutions, LaCrosse, WI.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 3:00pm – 11:00pm.
- Oversee and supervise daily operations of all production and packaging lines and systems.
- Perform sanitation duties as required by Plant Regulatory reports.
- Complete Master Sanitation Schedule documents and provide information to Quality Assurance.
- Follow up on audit items and manage communication with QA regarding product integrity and sanitation needs.
- Work directly with Supervisors and QA when sanitation issues require immediate attention.
- Ensure ‘In Process’ targets are met; inspect equipment for CIP completion and readiness for processing.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment and production/packaging questions or issues, involving maintenance, quality, or inventory as needed.
- Inspect in‑process samples and review associated paperwork, legal charts, and chemical concentrations.
- Keep product moving through the system in a timely, efficient manner.
- Ensure all employees follow proper procedures, complete safe working practices, and produce quality products.
- Identify and assist in implementing improvements in safety, quality, and productivity on shift.
- Assist in follow‑up on GMP or production audit items.
- Communicate production, sanitation, or equipment issues to the next‑shift supervisor.
- Participate in and prepare for company, customer, and third‑party audits as needed.
- Communicate important information to all employees, including announcements, safety information, and shift production requirements.
- Attend employee meetings.
- Ensure staffing is appropriate for optimal production and act as backup for production line positions as needed.
- Monitor employees and their breaks.
- Review weekly payroll timecards, sign off, and approve timesheets for the team.
- Handle employee relations, including work direction, hiring, training, performance reviews, policy administration, disciplinary action, and compensation recommendations.
- Directly implement departmental objectives, goals, and policies.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Enforce safety protocol by stopping unsafe acts, reporting hazards, and supporting safety policies and programs.
