Job SummaryThis position is responsible for planning preventive electrical maintenance, repair work, and project work to support a 24/7 high-speed manufacturing facility. This position directs and supervises industrial electricians.
Responsibilities- Plan, assign and supervise work of industrial electricians
- Review work planning and weekly scheduling with affected departments
- Approve emergency work and reschedule planned work
- Obtain pricing, place orders and prepare usage estimates for needed supplies, parts, tools and materials
- Arrange for work support, materials and parts to minimize interruptions in operations and ensure work is done in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
- Develop and maintain PM schedule for equipment and facilities to reduce unplanned downtime
- Maintain records of scheduled and unscheduled work for development of work order system
- Review data to make recommendations for improvement and provide solutions to electrical maintenance related issues
- Create and implement SOPs for areas of responsibility
- Provide for training and continuing education opportunities for direct reports
- Maintain a working knowledge of plant operations to assist other departments with area expertise as needed
- Assist in planning large projects and installations
- Strict adherence to all Company policies and State and Federal Guidelines
- Stay current with, and ensure adherence to, relevant OSHA and environmental regulations
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to troubleshoot and address short and long term maintenance
- Available to support 24/7 operation
- Technical diploma/ journey worker status preferred. Will consider relevant work experience, certifications, etc.
- 3-5 years’ manufacturing experience, food and beverage production preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory responsibility. Union environment preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley CLX
- Knowledge of electrical code
- Medium voltage experience preferred
