Job Description:
Role and Responsibilities- 360 inspection of finished pallets.
- Scanning.
- Generate and affix production tickets to finished pallet.
- Record HFI activity and pallet drops.
- Visually examine finished pallets for defects and discard, replace and/or hold as appropriate.
- Visually examine pallets, top frames and separator sheets and remove if defective.
- Work with fork truck driver in all areas of scanning.
- Work with QC Inspector in all areas of can quality.
- Report equipment malfunctioning or unsatisfactory quality to the QC inspector, supervisor, maintainer, GPM.
- Provide assistance to Maintainer/GPM to restore normal flow of production from Necker/Necker single filer through the final bander.
- Change banding coils and clear jams.
- Band tension check, number of bands and band locations. Report out of specifications to supervisor, maintainer, GPM.
- Keep assigned work area clean and orderly.
- Start and stop assigned equipment as required.
- Actuate controls to palletize processed cans.
- Stand up tipped cans, replace voids and remove jams to maintain standard production.
- Visually examine larger patterns to see if properly packed and replace missing cans.
- Check drops, conveyors and equipment from necker/necker single filer through final bander when flow is stopped and clear jams as necessary.
- Practice safety in all areas and report to supervisor unsafe conditions.
- Stand up tipped cans and replace voids as necessary.
- Operate controls of bulk palletizing machine to ensure the loading of finished cans on pallets.
- Verification that pallet is properly identified.
- Perform can quality inspection.
- 360 Inspector will be considered a lessor classification than the QC Inspector in the event of a layoff.
