Position: Machine Operator (3rd shift- 10pm to 6am)

Shift: 10:00 PM-6:00 AMHourly Rate: $20.63 an hour + $1.50 shift differential

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will operate filling and packaging equipment to ensure accurate product filling, sealing, and packaging while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment at Conagra Brands’ Darien, WI facility.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities
  • Read and follow production schedule instructions to ensure accurate execution of daily plans
  • Set up, operate, adjust, and repair filling line equipment including feeds, scales, automatic fillers, film systems, seals, weight settings, production codes, metal detectors, and checkweighers
  • Monitor and verify proper setup of veg mix systems, case erectors, conveyors, case coders, casers, case tapers, and palletizers; request assistance when needed
  • Monitor and adjust line functions to ensure packaging units meet or exceed production and quality specifications
  • Maintain machine efficiency by minimizing downtime and reducing material and product loss
  • Coordinate and operate production line activities during startup, production, changeovers, and shutdown
  • Provide direction to line workers to support proper line operations
  • Maintain sufficient levels of packaging materials, ingredients, and finished goods for continuous production
  • Stop production and report deviations from specifications or equipment malfunctions
  • Maintain housekeeping standards to support safety and food quality requirements
  • Complete accurate production documentation including system entries, testing results, and reports
  • Tear down equipment and prepare for cleaning processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Ingredients Required for Your Success
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing or food production environments is helpful
  • Knowledge of food handling, packaging, and Good Manufacturing Practices or willingness to learn
  • Understanding of safety practices, quality control points, and critical control points
  • Familiarity with allergen and blood borne pathogen control practices or willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills to support team coordination and performance
  • Experience using hand tools and production equipment
  • Understanding of basic mathematics including weights, measures, time, and quantity estimation
  • Dependable attendance and attention to detail in completing assigned tasks
  • Works effectively with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and productivity
Physical Requirements

More information on the essential tasks and facility will be shared during the hiring process. Please be aware that in a manufacturing environment, the noise levels can be high and the temperatures may vary. Depending on the role, physical and environmental requirements can differ but include:

  • Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.
  • Performing consistent repetitive tasks.
  • Frequently lifting, pushing or carrying materials.
