Location:
Green Bay, WI (On-Site)

3rd Shift

Hours:

Monday-Thursday, 7:30pm-6:00am

2nd Shift

Hours:

Monday-Thursday, 2pm-12:30am

Job Summary:

The CNC Set Up Operator I is responsible for the fabrication of plastic products, applying knowledge of plastic to setups, cutting techniques, using precision instruments, hand tools, machines and equipment in order to produce parts on time and according to customer and production standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Set up and operate multiple CNC machines
  • Review blueprints and set-up sheets to make parts according to customer specifications
  • Make adjustments and tooling adjustments as needed
  • Determine most efficient machine operation methods to maximize productivity and collaborate with Continuous Improvement leaders
  • Perform first article inspections and collaborates with Quality Control to ensure high quality parts are produced
  • Utilize gaging equipment to check parts and properly set up area near machine.
  • Loads and unloads material using safe lifting practices
  • Comply with all workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations (OSHA, local, and company specific)

Employee is regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to walk; use hands to handle or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear; regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is expected to seek assistance when lifting or moving anything is excess of 70 pounds.

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Education &

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years minimum of related CNC operation experience
  • 1 year minimum of CNC setup experience with basic knowledge of M&G code
  • Experience in making adjustments to tool offsets
  • Experienced with measuring tools such as gaging equipment.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 70 lbs. occasionally
