Description
We are seeking part-time and full time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and Registered Nurses (RN) to join our healthcare team e Convent in La Crosse. We are looking for someone who shares our values of partnership and compassion and desires a culture that puts relationships first.

License requirements:
Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Wisconsin
Must maintain a valid driver's license
Essential Duties:
- Utilizes available resources to maintain knowledge of holistic, alternative approaches to common conditions of the aging population.
- Provides short-term nursing services to FSPA that do not reside e. This includes blood pressure monitoring, dressing changes and other treatments; first aid, consultation regarding health status.
- Coordinates appointments for medical, dental, vision, chiropractic and other health care providers. Arranges transportation and a companion when needed. May be required to transport Sisters to appointments. Provides clinic referral form for appointment if indicated. Advocates for the Sister when necessary to assure their health needs are
being met.
- Provides on-going assessment and management of health status for the Sisters as needed; including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual status. Participates in their plan of care. Maintains accurate, professional records for each Sister.
- Provides routine nursing care including, but not limited to, diabetes management, emergency care, health status monitoring. This includes treatments such as dressing changes, foot soaks, ear irrigation, application of creams and ointments, and moist heat therapy. Assists with activities of daily living as needed.
- Assists with medication by ordering and delivering medication, "setting-up" supervised medication systems, administering medications. Maintains accurate records regarding medications, monitors effectiveness and for side effects. Maintains a record and knowledge of drug allergies.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or LPN license
- Ability for weekend rotation and holiday rotation
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles and practices.

- a love of working with seniors,
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- a commitment to person-directed care (or as we call it--relationship-centered care!)
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Commitment to the values of compassion, justice, and service.
- Would prefer 1-2 years of experience in field.
