Registered Nurse – Neurosurgery Clinic
Location: East Building, 3rd Floor, La Crosse, WI
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (no weekends, holidays, or on‑call)
Hours: 32 weekly hours (FTE 0.8)
Pay: $30.46 per hour, higher based on experience
About the RoleJoin our growing Neurosurgery Clinic team and make a meaningful impact on patients facing complex and life-changing procedures such as brain tumor surgeries, spinal fusions, and discectomies. As an RN, you will provide a mix of patient education, nurse-only visits, and phone triage support. You will work closely with neurosurgeons, advanced practice clinicians, and a supportive nursing team to deliver exceptional care.
WhatYou'll Do
- Conduct nurse-only visits for pre-op and post-op care, including patient education, halo vest changes, and wound care
- Support patients through procedures, including Deep Brain Stimulation
- Manage phone triage and in-basket tasks on dedicated rotation days
- Collaborate with clinicians and APCs to ensure seamless patient care

- Active RN license to practice in the state of Wisconsin
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience (neuroscience, med-surg, or rehab preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills
- Calm, team-oriented personality with an eagerness to learn and grow
- Ability to build positive relationships and adapt to challenges proactively
