Hearten House I (La Crosse, WI) Memory Care Resident Care Assistant (RCA)

Employment Type:

Full‑Time (AM shifts 68 hours / two‑week pay period) or Part‑Time (PM or Night). Casual Call: build your own part‑time schedule – 3 shifts per month; 1 weekend per month. Available shifts may vary and include varied weekends and holidays. These positions enjoy every other weekend and every other holiday off.

Shift Examples: AM: 6:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.; 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. PM: 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.; 3:45 p.m. – 11:15 p.m. Night: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist residents with personal care and daily activities while helping them maintain as much independence and dignity as possible.
  • Other responsibilities may include medication management, light housekeeping, and a variety of other tasks.
  • Provide dressing, bathing, and bathroom assistance.
  • Transport residents to meals and activities, and document daily care.
  • Communicate and interact with residents, their families, and other departments to create an environment that focuses on resident safety and well‑being.
What You’ll Need
  • Previous direct care experience (preferred).
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Training and/or experience (any State) (preferred).
  • CBRF Certification (preferred).
Our Wages
  • Starting rate between $18.50 and $23.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Increases upon orientation completion.
  • PM, Weekend, and Night differentials as well as on‑call and pick‑up incentives.
  • Regular wage reviews – pay for high performance.
Qualifications for Higher Starting Pay
  • Previous direct care experience.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant training and/or experience.
  • CBRF Certification(s).
