Job Overview

Registered Nurse – Weekend Only (0.9 Full Time Equivalent) in a 10‑bed Pediatric Unit and a 4‑bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Emplify Health by Gundersen, La Crosse, Wisconsin.

• Weekend‑only position (WEO): six weekend shifts per pay period ranging from 06:00 Friday to 09:00 Monday.
• 12‑hour shifts: day/night rotation or straight night, per employee preference.
• Full‑time equivalent: 72 hours every 2 weeks (0.9 FTE).

• Provide patient‑ and family‑centered care for pediatric patients with acute or chronic medical conditions, and those requiring ICU‑level care (trauma, diabetic emergencies, tracheostomies, etc.).
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of RNs, hospitalists, intensivists, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, health unit coordinators, and other support staff.

• Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license in Wisconsin upon hire.
• BLS certification for health care providers.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Preferred 1 year of PICU RN experience.

• Weekend package pay incentive: premium equal to 33.33% of base pay for actual hours worked on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts (equivalent to 96 hours of pay for 72 hours worked).
• Sign‑on bonuses:
  • $5,000 for minimum 1 year recent PICU RN experience.
  • $2,500 for minimum 1 year Pediatric RN experience.
