Certified Nursing Assistant (Nursing Home) (Full-Time) – PM and NOC shift

• Bonus: $750 Sign-on bonus for CNA's
• Must maintain at least 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week)
• Paid Training & Certification: CNA course provided at no cost (training fees covered, but training is unpaid)
• Extra Cash: Earn shift differentials from $0.50 to $3.00 per hour depending on shift
• Earn additional pay incentives up to $5/hour for picking up additional, non-scheduled shifts

This position is available for Full-Time (PM and NOC shifts).

PM/B shift is 2:00pm - 10:30pm, and Overnight/NOC shift is 10:00pm - 6:30am.

This position provides basic care for residents/tenants to assure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times within a safe environment; assists with activities of daily living, offers emotional and social support, and attends residents/tenants' overall physical comfort.

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Provides personal hygiene including bathing (tub, shower, bed bath), oral care, skin and nail care and hand washing.
• Completes resident grooming including hair care, shaving, dressing and weighing. Encourages residents/tenants toward independent personal care.
• Assists with toileting including bowel and bladder retraining and perinea care.
• Performs and assists with mobility, transferring, ambulation, positioning and range of motion per the care plan.
• Assists in orienting residents/tenants upon admission and throughout stay as needed.
• Documents accurately all care given, including dietary intake and output, temperature, weight, blood pressure pulse and respiration, using approved abbreviations and descriptive terms.
• Reports to nurse on units for written and verbal assignments which include daily use of care plans for assigned residents/tenants before initiating care.
• Participates in the planning of resident care through shift reports and resident care staffing meetings when assigned.
• Informs verbally and/or submit in writing any observations and changes in a resident for the licensed nurse to evaluate including dietary intake.
• Serves residents/tenants their meals; motivates and assists them with intake of nourishment and fluids.
• Answer all call signals and requests of residents/tenants immediately.
• Encourages/assist residents/tenants in keeping their rooms clean and orderly; assists with making beds.
• Maintains nursing unit in a clean and orderly manner.
• Keeps all residents/tenants' personal belongings and equipment clean.
• Escorts residents/tenants to appointments and/or therapy departments as scheduled.
• Participates in unit activity programs planned for residents/tenants as needed.
• Attends and participates in unit nursing staff meetings and mandatory in-services.
• Performs a total inventory of all resident's possessions on admission, discharge or transfer.
• Ensures all residents/tenants' possessions are properly labeled.
• Responds to resident emergency including bleeding, falls, seizures and performance of Heimlich maneuver.
• Assists with post-mortem care as assigned.
• Transports dietary carts and linen carts.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home

• Age 16 or older.
• Wisconsin certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and on state registry.
• Must successfully pass criminal and caregiver background check.

Expected Pay Range: $19.83 – $22.43/hour
