Overview

FLSA:
Exempt This is a professional position with core hours Monday - Friday primarily 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Employee in this capacity is responsible for the development and implementation of training for the La Crosse County Long Term Care and Assisted Living staff. Employee will develop training programs within general guidelines as established by the facility. Employee reports directly to the Director of Long-Term Care Services and exercises independent judgment in the evaluation of training needs.

Assists and works with department managers to determine training needs of staff through planning, promoting and presenting educational programs specific to departmental needs. Organizes, plans and directs in-service training for staff in cooperation with campus staff managers and outside resources. Develops an annual integrated training curriculum using an on-line training system. Customizes on-line courses to meet the needs of the facility.

Develops live & self-paced supplemental training, as requested. Coordinates the overall QAPI Plan in collaboration with administration. Chairs long term cares campuses Quality Improvement Committee. Coordinates onboarding activities with Human Resources staff to develop general facility wide orientation and job specific training to assist and promote successful integration of staff.

This position will commute between Lakeview Health Center & Assisted Living in West Salem, WI and Hillview Health Care Campus on the southside of La Crosse, WI.
