Store Manager In Training (SMIT)

Develop skills needed for a future CVS Store Manager through a self‑paced, collaborative training program that lasts 16 weeks. The program blends virtual lessons with hands‑on learning and is supported by a team of experienced leaders.

The SMIT program is guided by a dedicated team that includes your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a Store Manager coach.

• Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion.
• Support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies.
• Engage colleagues in supporting the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
• Be willing to accept promotion roles within the market in which you work.
• Accept promotion to a Store Manager position only after fulfilling program requirements and based on performance and availability of openings.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in retail management or as a CVS Supervisor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer‑care orientation.
• Ability to execute merchandising strategies and manage inventory and assets.
• Willingness to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores in the designated market.
• Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.

Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Pay range: $18.50 – $28.67 per hour. Final salary will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
