Viterbo University is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Part-Time Campus Safety Officer to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our campus community. This position supports the safety of students, employees, visitors, and University property by monitoring campus, responding to safety and security concerns, identifying and reporting potential hazards, and helping ensure emergency and safety equipment is functioning properly.
The Campus Safety Officer serves as a visible and helpful presence on campus and should be comfortable responding calmly and professionally to a variety of situations. This is a part-time, hourly position working 20 hours per week, with a regular schedule of Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
High school degree or equivalent and prior experience in security field required.
Must possess CPR/AED certifications at time of appointment or the ability to obtain such certifications within 6 months of appointment and maintain such certification for the duration of employment.
