Hotel Maintenance

The Courtyard by Marriott La Crosse Downtown / Mississippi Riverfront is looking for a "Jack of all trades." As a Maintenance Engineer at the Courtyard, you will enjoy a very diverse set of responsibilities. You might balance the chemicals in the pool or spa, and then rebuild a door lock on a guest room; tomorrow you might replace a valve stem in a shower, or replace some broken tiles.

Each day will bring new and exciting challenges. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of skills that might include construction, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, pool and spa maintenance, grounds keeping, and more.

Qualifications for this role include but are not limited to:

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• Experience in the following fields will be helpful: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Boilers, Pool and Spa Maintenance, Grounds keeping, General Building and Construction work.

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to:

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs.
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
