As a Delivery Driver
, you will be responsible transporting, and delivering products safely and efficiently to customers, job sites, or business locations. This role supports on-time delivery, accurate order handling, vehicle safety, and professional customer service while following company procedures and applicable transportation regulations. Hours are typically 6:00 am - 2:00 pm.
- Deliver merchandise to customers in a timely and efficient manner in a non-CDL vehicle
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and in compliance with company policy and traffic laws
- Provide courteous, professional service during customer interactions
- Assist in loading and unloading merchandise on vehicles
- Ensure load is securely fastened and transported safely
- Check orders for accuracy and damage; check pack slips for special instructions
- Obtain proof of delivery. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any issues encountered
- Perform routine vehicle checks and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Adhere to Company policy if involved in a motor vehicle accident in a Company vehicle
- Report operating problems or maintenance needs on vehicles
- Inform supervisor of shortages, overloads or damaged merchandise or customer complaints
- Maintain vehicle in neat and clean condition; remove empty skids, pallet jacks, carts, and debris from the truck. Refuel vehicle as directed.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record required
- Valid medical card or the ability to obtain a medical card and be at least 21 years of age
- Two years of truck driving experience preferred
- Prior warehouse or distribution experience a plus
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Basic computer or RF scanner skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
