Position Summary

Serving as the university’s Title IX Coordinator, this position coordinates institutional compliance efforts related to discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, retaliation, and related federal and state regulations. The position also supports the Director of Student Relations in advancing retention initiatives, student support systems, behavioral intervention efforts, and coordinated student outreach.

This position plays a key role in promoting student wellbeing and institutional accountability through prevention education, case management, supportive measures, policy implementation, and campus-wide training initiatives. The Assistant Director works closely with campus departments, community partners, and student support teams to coordinate resources, respond to student concerns, and strengthen systems that support student success, persistence, and belonging.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication, organizational, facilitation, and relationship‑building skills while exercising sound judgment and managing sensitive and confidential matters.

Title IX Coordination

Coordinate university-wide compliance efforts related to Title IX. Receive and respond to reports involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, sexual misconduct, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and related concerns. Coordinate supportive measures and referrals. Maintain required documentation and reporting processes. Serve as an institutional resource regarding applicable laws, regulations, and university policy. Collaborate with Human Resources, Academic Affairs, Athletics, Residence Life, Student Affairs, and community partners regarding compliance matters.

Monitor emerging regulations and recommend policy updates as appropriate.

Prevention Education and Training

Lead university prevention, awareness, and educational initiatives. Coordinate federally required prevention programming. Develop and deliver training related to Title IX responsible employee obligations, alcohol and drug prevention, sexual violence prevention, bystander intervention, and campus safety. Coordinate annual awareness campaigns and educational outreach. Assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Student Success, Early Alert, and Student Concern Coordination

Assist with administration of early alert systems and student concern reporting processes. Coordinate outreach and communication to students identified through early alerts, student concerns, or behavioral intervention processes. Collaborate with campus partners to connect students with appropriate resources and support services. Assist with retention‑focused communication strategies and intervention efforts.

Behavioral Intervention and Student Support Collaboration

Serve as a member of the Behavioral Assessment Team and related intervention teams. Assist with case coordination and follow‑up activities. Provide consultation regarding student support resources and response options. Collaborate with the Student Wellness Specialist and other campus partners to ensure coordinated care.
