Eastern Oregon University (EOU) invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Campus Safety and Security. Located in the scenic Blue Mountains of La Grande, Oregon, EOU is committed to student success, access, innovation, and community engagement.

The Assistant Director of Campus Safety and Security plays a key leadership role in supporting those values by helping ensure the safety and security of the campus community. Reporting to the Director of Safety and Security, this position oversees daily security operations, supervises assigned security personnel, supports emergency management initiatives, and helps maintain continuity of departmental operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a public safety professional who enjoys both leadership and hands‑on operational work. The Assistant Director works closely with campus departments, public safety partners, and community stakeholders to coordinate security services, support campus events, enhance emergency preparedness, and respond to evolving campus safety needs. The position also contributes to administrative, compliance‑support, and emergency management functions that help promote a safe and resilient university environment.
