- Background Registry:
Maintain current enrollment on the Oregon Child Care Division Criminal History Registry. - Health Assessments:
Complete an initial periodic health examination and any subsequent re-examinations as recommended by a healthcare provider, including screeners or tests for communicable diseases, as appropriate. - Onboarding:
Complete the program Orientation Checklist and all required onboarding trainings.
- Driver's License:
Present a valid Oregon Driver’s License. - Work Authorization:
Present work authorization documentation to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States as required by the Federal Government. (
Note:
Eastern Oregon University Head Start does not sponsor applicants for employment visas.) - Registry Proof:
Provide proof of active enrollment in the Oregon Child Care Division Criminal History Registry. - Health Clearance:
Provide approval to work based on an initial health examination that includes screeners or tests for communicable diseases, as appropriate.
- First Aid Certification:
Obtain and present Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification. - Food Safety:
Obtain and present a valid Oregon Food Handler’s Card.
- Work Hours:
40 hours per week (varies slightly depending on workload). This is a 12-month position. - Classification & Status:
Exempt. Eastern Oregon University Benefit Package is available. - Supervision:
Reports directly to the Family and Community Partnership Manager.

Responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : PERFORMANCE INDICATORSFamily Support
- Relationship-Based Practice:
Support positive family outcomes as described in the Head Start Parent, Family, Community Engagement Framework, using positive, goal-oriented relationships with a focus on equity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness. - Program Welcome:
Welcome families into the program and share information about transitioning into the Early Head Start school family. - Targeted Resilience Support:
Identify and provide Resiliency support to Tier 3 and Top Tier Families. - Home Visiting Fidelity:
Complete one home visit per week, achieving at least 46 visits in a program year, utilizing the Growing Great Kids curriculum to high fidelity. - Health and Wellness:
Support child and family health with the direct guidance of the EOUHS Health Manager. - Individualized Child Goals:
Utilize information obtained from screenings, assessments, observations, and parental input to develop individualized child goals alongside families and to guide weekly home visit activities. - Developmental Tracking ( DRDP ):
