Sales Associate - Shipping​/Receiving Focus

Job overview

We are seeking an outgoing, friendly, and helpful team member to welcome and assist customers as well as serve in the role of shipping/receiver. This position operates machinery including forklift in a safe and proper manner.

The shipping/receiver must maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for receiving all products entering the store including verifying actual product against packing slips and confirming product integrity as needed.

The shipping/receiver must initial, code invoices, log invoices, and distribute to appropriate departments. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the receiving area including loading dock and trash areas. Previous hardware and shipping/receiving experience is a plus but not a requirement as we provide extensive training.

• Welcome customers and assist them in finding everything necessary to complete their project in one trip.
• Operate machinery including forklift safely.
• Verify products against packing slips and confirm product integrity.
• Initial and code invoices, log them, and distribute to appropriate departments.
• Maintain cleanliness of receiving area, loading dock, and trash areas.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for most of shift.
• Experience with forklifts or willing to train. Previous shipping/receiving experience is a plus.
