Job Summary The Utility Worker is responsible to clean, sanitize and store all service-ware and related utensils following each meal. This includes all related equipment and machinery and other general sanitation duties as assigned. Essential Job Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all china, glassware, flatware, serving trays, serving dishes, pots, and pans, etc.
- Return all service ware to designated storage areas and properly store.
- Maintain and operate dish machine and general dish machine area in clean and sanitary fashion.
- Maintain 3-compartment sink and general area in a clean and sanitary fashion, including cart wash area.
- Assist other utility positions throughout the day.
- Assist in food preparation before, during and after meal periods as directed.
- Timely and efficient delivery of food items from main kitchen to/from satellite kitchens or service areas.
- Remove waste and recycling. Clean and sanitize waste containers at the end of the day or as needed during the workday.
- Follow daily and weekly sanitation schedules.
- Comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follow all Plymouth Place policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.
- Attend in-service and education programs.
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Knowledge of quality standards.
- Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide service in an accurate and timely manner.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Illinois Food Safety certification preferred.
