Part-Time Police Clerk – Police Department

Position Description

The City of Countryside is seeking dependable individuals with a desire to work with the public at the front desk in the Police Department. Varied responsibilities include greeting, answering, screening and routing non‑emergency telephone calls and walk‑in inquiries; collecting monies associated with fees, fines and bonds, and generating reports and maintaining records.

• Greet, answer, screen and route non‑emergency telephone calls and walk‑in inquiries.
• Collect monies associated with fees, fines and bonds, generate reports and maintain records.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with members of the public, sworn officers, and City employees and convey information discreetly.
• Bilingual preferred and knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus.
• Prior public safety experience desirable.

Starting wage as of 9/28/25 is $20.00/hr the work schedule entails shift work (
afternoons and midnights
), including weekends and holidays with a maximum of 16 hours per week.
