Experienced Production Manager, Corporate Events

Role Overview

The Production Manager will plan and execute corporate events such as trade shows, exhibits, permanent installations, and special events. Working with the Account Executive, the Production Manager identifies opportunity teams, may participate in the sale or execute projects generated by another Account Executive, and defines Scope of Work with the client. Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, workflow design, technology selection, procurement, logistical coordination, client communication, and post‑event close‑out.

The role requires strong project management, client‑facing service, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Essential Functions
  • Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to client expectations.
  • Communicate project status, customer support, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Identify value‑added opportunities with the sales organization.
  • Collaborate with customers, Account Executives, and internal resources to develop technology and design solutions.
  • Track change orders, obtain approvals, and update stakeholders.
  • Maintain accuracy of orders in the Asset Management System throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor financial performance and assist with month‑end reconciliation.
  • Record accurate project documentation: drawings, schedules, budgets, contracts, PO‑s, invoices, logistics, sub‑contractor agreements.
  • Coordinate project logistics, subcontractors, labor scheduling, and travel/per‑diem.
  • Participate in client presentations and manage on‑site production, including show labor.
  • Promote safety and investigate all safety and reliability concerns.
  • Lead project close‑out process, reconcile budgets, deliver post‑show deliverables, and manage client success.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and updates to processes.
  • Create a positive atmosphere for customers and crew.

  • PRG asset‑management and CRM (Salesforce) software proficiency.
  • Experience managing projects over $1 M and achieving over $5 M annual revenue.

  • Occasional lifting or moving up to 20 pounds.
  • Effective communication skills in written and verbal form.
Travel Required
  • Extensive travel: up to 70 %.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license required.
Preferred

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Technical education and/or training in product disciplines.
  • 10 + years in the entertainment industry (minimum two years in a relevant market).
  • 5 + years of project management experience.
  • 2 + years of staff management in a supervisory or event‑management role.
  • Experience as an Account Executive or Technical Director.
  • Budget preparation and management experience.
  • Safety culture promotion on site.
