Product Demonstrator Part Time

Overview

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies. The Associate intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner, maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

• Possess aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
• Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
• Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
• Properly set up and prepare event table for execution.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports as per company policy.
• Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.

Education/

Experience:

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer

Skills:

Proficient in using and navigating a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local Food handlers permit may be required.

Physical Demands: Stand and walk during shift; use hands/fingers; reach overhead up to 65 inches; talk/see; stoop/kneel/squat/climb; balance; lift/carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push/pull wheeled demonstration cart; prepare foods using required appliances; be in contact with cleaning supplies.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Work Environment: Retail store environment; limited travel.

Physical Appearance: Ensure professional appearance and proper grooming per retailer dress code.

Language: English primary; bilingual may be required.
