We are a local non‑profit organization founded in 1970 by Louisville‑area parents of people with IDD.

To perform clerical, medical and driver transportation responsibilities for the Health Services staff including the direct supervision of residents in the health care setting and outside of the agency. Assist in medical records with filing and other tasks.
- Drive and escort residents to various doctor’s offices and hospitals for appointments which may involve the use of therapeutic interactions and proper techniques to meet the resident’s behavioral needs. Take proper information for insurance and billing data.
- Monitor and report the resident’s condition following recovery from medical procedures such as surgery.
- Work with the business office regarding medical matters and insurance details.
- Report directly to the Director of Health Services.
- Other duties which may be required to assist the medical staff.
- Medical Records, filing and computer imaging and data input.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED
- CMT training and current certification preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid training
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a record acceptable to Park Place’s insurance carrier.
- Experience driving station wagon and full‑size van in rural and urban situations.
- Knowledge and aptitude for clerical work, and medical records.
- Ability to deal with the stressful situations of hospital and medical environment.
- Willingness to cooperate and respond to various department requests, and communication skills to insure a therapeutic interaction with all departments.
- Computer knowledge preferred.
Non‑exempt, hourly, full‑time.
