Psychiatric Licensed Practical Nurse
A competent Psychiatric Licensed Practical Nurse who practices psychiatric-mental health nursing under supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs general nursing tasks for the holistic care and treatment of patients' medical and psychiatric needs.
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, expectations include assisting in the assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementing, coordination of care, health teaching and health promotion of psychiatric and medical healthcare needs of a unique patient population.
Nurses are expected to engage in mission-driven leadership focused on patient care and quality improvement. Additionally, all staff are expected to follow policies and procedures of the facility.
Staff member is required to adhere to time and attendance policies including mandatory overtime. Staff members shall be subject to being recalled to duty, being held over and to irregular day/shift rotation whenever necessary to provide adequate coverage to meet facility needs.
This position is deemed essential and has been designated for mandatory operations by the Appointing Authority; therefore, the staff member is not eligible for Adverse Weather Leave.
