Certified Nursing Assistant – Days – 2K Bonus

Compensation: $20.05 – $22.27 per hour

The Certified Nursing Assistant performs basic and specialized nursing care functions under the supervision of licensed nurses. They adhere to local and regulatory policies and procedures to ensure proper patient care, collaborate with other healthcare team members and correctional officers, and may float between units as needed.

• Provides basic nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed nurse, including assistance with ADLs, vital sign measurement, and accurate documentation of patient data.
• Maintains professional behavior and prioritizes workflow to ensure completion of all assigned duties while adhering to policies and procedures and promoting patient safety and confidentiality.
• Collaborates with other members of the health care team, participates in staff meetings and training sessions, and notifies the licensed nurse of any patient concerns or issues.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of nursing procedures and uses medical supplies and equipment proficiently, while ensuring proper storage and cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervising nurse, such as assisting with patient care in different units and participating in the orientation of new staff members.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of training course for Nursing Assistants.

• Knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures, and techniques.
• Ability to handle a variety of simple tasks that are routine in nature while maintaining orderly workflow.
• Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to pass and maintain clearance for a Public Trust Position, if required.
• Ability to express thoughts logically in English, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with computers and typical software such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and various database systems.

• Current certification in the state of practice is required.
