Senior Tax Manager (CPA) Partner Track Opportunity Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 Base Salary (depending on experience)

Greater Des Moines Area (Hybrid) Overview Our client is seeking an experienced CPA to join its tax practice in a highly visible leadership role. This opportunity offers direct interaction with leadership, meaningful client relationships, exposure to complex tax matters, and long-term career advancement potential. The ideal candidate enjoys both the technical and advisory sides of public accounting and is looking for an opportunity to have a broader impact on clients, colleagues, and the future direction of a growing practice.

Key Responsibilities Review and prepare complex individual, trust, and business tax returns Identify tax planning opportunities and provide strategic guidance to clients Serve as a primary point of contact for client tax matters Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service Collaborate with internal professionals to deliver comprehensive client solutions Maintain exceptional standards for quality, accuracy, and compliance Mentor and support developing tax professionals Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies Utilize modern tax technology and workflow tools to enhance productivity and client service Qualifications Active CPA license required 5+ years of progressive tax experience within public accounting or a professional services environment Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns Strong knowledge of individual, trust, partnership, LLC, and S-Corporation taxation Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong client relationship management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

In accordance with applicable salary transparency requirements, the anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000. Additional compensation and benefits may be available based on eligibility and company programs. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
