The Boys & Girls Clubs of La Habra is seeking energetic, creative, and passionate Youth Development Professionals to join our After School Programs serving elementary school students throughout La Habra.
We are especially looking for candidates with experience or a strong interest in:
- Art & Creative Expression
- STEM & Science Activities
- Music & Performing Arts
- Dance & Movement Programs
- Academic Support & Tutoring

About the RoleYouth Development Professionals provide homework assistance, facilitate enrichment activities, supervise students, and create a safe, positive environment where youth can learn, grow, and thrive. Staff serve as positive role models while helping students build confidence, skills, and meaningful relationships.

LocationPrograms are located at elementary and intermediate schools within the La Habra City School District & Lowell Joint School District
Schedule & PayPart-Time | Up to 10-25 Hours Per Week
We are hiring for:
- PM Only Positions
- PM Shift: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM or 2:15 pm - 6:15 pm (Minimum day schedule may vary)
Pay: $18.50 – $20.00 per hour
Qualifications- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 48 college units or pass the District proficiency exam
- Experience working with children or youth
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom of 20-25 students
- Strong leadership, communication, and behavior management skills
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Negative TB Test
- Ability to pass all required background screenings
- Facilitate engaging academic and enrichment activities
- Provide homework support and tutoring
- Lead STEM, arts, music, dance, leadership, recreation, or other enrichment opportunities
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
- Promote youth participation and engagement
- Support classroom management and behavior expectations
