Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Tridium Specialist role based in La Habra, CA. The Tridium Specialist will configure, program, and maintain Tridium/Niagara-based building automation systems, including creating control logic, graphics, and dashboards. Responsibilities include integrating field devices, troubleshooting network and controls issues, and performing system diagnostics to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. The role involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to support new installations, retrofits, and service work, as well as documenting configurations and changes.
The Tridium Specialist will also assist with commissioning, testing, and ongoing support for clients, providing clear communication and technical guidance.
Qualifications
- Strong Tridium/Niagara framework skills, including system configuration, programming, graphics, and integration of building automation components.
- Experience with building automation systems, HVAC controls, and BAS networking (BACnet, Modbus, Lon Works or similar protocols).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and field commissioning of controls and automation hardware and software.
- Working knowledge of energy management principles and optimizing building performance through control strategies.
- Comfort with technical documentation, including creating sequences of operation, wiring diagrams, and as-built records.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with clients, engineers, and field teams on-site.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work safely in commercial and industrial building environments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Tridium Niagara, BAS or controls certifications) and prior experience with building automation service or projects are highly beneficial.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Automation, HVAC Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
