Facilities & Logistics Coordinator
Pay Rate: $27-28/HR
Hours:
M-F 7am - 3:30pm
Location:
4224 Campus Point Dr, San Diego
Team Overview:
Solo on the site Would have a team of maintenance workers HM and senior FM
Summary:
The Facilities & Logistics Coordinator supports daily onsite operations by managing shipping and receiving (including IATA-compliant shipments), providing light facilities maintenance, and serving as the primary representative for client-facing interactions. This role is highly customer-focused and ensures smooth workplace operations while maintaining standards of service. And other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipping & Receiving (Primary) (4-6 hours a day) - Main responsibility
- Receive, log, distribute, and ship inbound and outbound materials and packages
- Prepare and process IATA-compliant shipments (dangerous goods, regulated materials, etc.)- EXPERIENCE WITH THIS WOULD BE A HUGE PLUS
- Coordinate with couriers, freight vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate shipping records, tracking, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain inventory of supplies of shipping materials
- Facilities & Workplace Support
- Perform light maintenance (minor repairs and basic troubleshooting)
- Submit and track service requests and vendor work orders
- Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify facility issues
- Support preventive maintenance and safety programs
- Light Workplace Experience duties (break areas)
- Client & Customer Experience (Face of client)
- Serve as the front-line client representative for onsite clients and vendors
- Provide high-touch customer service and professional communication
- Respond promptly to service requests and inquiries
- Build strong client relationships and maintain a polished, welcoming environment
- Follow CBRE policies, EHS standards, and client-specific procedures
Required Qualifications
- Experience in shipping & receiving, including IATA shipping certification or hands-on experience
- Prior facilities, workplace services, or operations experience
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform light physical work (lifting, moving equipment) up to 50lbs
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, work order systems)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a corporate, lab, or tech environment
- Material handling experience
