Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a current CA license and Level 1 trauma neuro surgical experience for a night shift contract.
Responsibilities- Position is in the ICU of a hospital with Level 1 trauma designation
- Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–7:30)
- Patient population includes neuro surgical trauma cases
- Required to work a total of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period and at least one holiday including the holiday weekend
- May be required to float to similar or lower acuity units across the organization, excluding the ED
- Possible floating to other hospitals within the health system depending on need and census, with notification provided two hours before shift
- Must be flexible to float as needed per unit and system requirements
- Expected to provide care for critically ill trauma and neuro surgical patients
- Mandatory holiday and weekend coverage as scheduled
- Active CA RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience required
- Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Prior Level 1 trauma and neuro surgical trauma ICU experience required
