Scientist I – Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) Formulation

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scientist I to join our Formulation team. This is a hands-on laboratory position where you will work alongside senior scientists to develop, optimize, and characterize targeted and non-targeted Lipid Nanoparticles (LNPs) for nucleic acid delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong laboratory skills, analytical abilities, and a collaborative mindset to support our non-viral drug delivery platform.

• Execute and optimize the synthesis and characterization of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) encapsulating nucleic acids for both in vitro and in vivo studies under the guidance of senior formulation scientists.
• Design and execute Design of Experiments (DoE) to optimize LNP compositions and manufacturing parameters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support formulation development projects and deliver formulation requests.
• Assist with early-stage formulation development, including cryoprotection, scale-up activities, and stability studies.
• Support downstream processing activities such as purification and formulation optimization.
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation, experimental records, and technical reports.
• Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data to the formulation team.
• Participate in routine laboratory operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, buffer preparation, and autoclaving.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline with 2+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience, OR
• Master's degree in a related field with 1+ year of biopharmaceutical industry experience.

• Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) formulation and nucleic acid encapsulation (mRNA, siRNA, or DNA).
• Experience performing LNP characterization using:
• Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS)
• Zeta Potential
• Ribogreen Assays
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using statistical and data analysis software such as JMP or Graph Pad Prism is preferred.

• Experience with:
• Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF)
• Dialysis
• Bioconjugation Chemistry
• Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to generate high-quality, reproducible experimental data in a fast-paced biopharmaceutical environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team setting.

• Hands-on experience with Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) formulation.
• Biopharmaceutical industry experience is required (academic research alone will not be considered).
