Alarms Control Electrician
Perform journey level electrical work in connection with maintenance testing, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, inspecting, modifying and overhaul of campus alarm, control and electrical systems, including equipment and components such as fire alarm and sprinkler systems, ventilation and lighting control systems, interior communication and signaling devices and systems, and campus cable system for transmission of associated supervisory data control signals. Performs all required alarm system tests and maintenance and keeps accurate testing and system records.
May instruct unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance workers. Assigned to cover campus Housing and Dining Services facilities performing maintenance work dispatched by Customer Service Center, maintenance superintendent or campus police.
