Otero College seeks a student centered faculty member who is passionate about teaching, learning, and student success. As a comprehensive community college, faculty play a vital role in advancing the college's mission by providing high-quality instruction, fostering meaningful student engagement, and preparing learners for academic achievement, workforce readiness, and lifelong growth. Full-time faculty are responsible for delivering effective instruction, maintaining academic excellence, supporting student retention and completion through advising and mentoring, and contributing to ongoing program and curriculum development.
Faculty actively participate in college governance, assessment, recruitment, community engagement, and professional development activities. Through collaboration, innovation, and service, faculty help create an inclusive learning environment that empowers students to become the best version of themselves while strengthening the communities Otero College serves.
- Fundamentals of Nursing
- Basic Concepts of Pharmacology/Advanced Concepts of Pharmacology
- Psychiatric-Mental Health
- Introduction to Medical Surgical Nursing Concepts/Advanced Medical-Surgical Concepts
- Maternal-Child Nursing Concepts (must have experience in Maternal-Child Nursing)
- Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with the ability to obtain a MSN within 3 years of hire.
- Must hold a current unencumbered Registered Nurse license from the state of Colorado.
