As a vital member of our Respiratory Therapy team, you will:
- Deliver patient-centered respiratory care across newborn, pediatric, and adult populations
- Perform clinical assessments, therapeutic interventions, and diagnostic procedures
- Operate and manage advanced respiratory equipment safely and effectively
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, disease management, and home care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
- Accurately document care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Serve as a mentor/preceptor for students and new team members
You’ll work with a wide range of respiratory therapies and procedures, including:
- Mechanical ventilation, CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow oxygen therapy
- Arterial blood gases (ABGs) and airway management
- Intubation and bronchoscopy assistance
- Emergency response (cardiac/respiratory arrest)
- Pulmonary diagnostics (PFTs, EKGs, Holter monitoring)
- Bronchial hygiene therapies and medication administration
- Patient education (COPD management, smoking cessation, breathing techniques)
Required:
- Current Colorado Respiratory Therapist License
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (or eligible within 3 months of hire)
- Current BLS certification
Preferred (or required within 6 months):
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
