Overview

HVAC Maintenance / Plumber Technician (Full-Time) (First Shift) - Plant Operations.

Location:

La Junta, Colorado. AVRMC services the Southeastern Region and is seeking compassionate, ambitious, and talented professionals to join our team.

• Performs routine servicing and repair operations to maintain buildings, equipment, furnishings, fixtures, and grounds in proper condition.
• Responds to service calls promptly and courteously.
• Uses power and hand tools and properly cares for facility-owned tools.
• Cooperates with supervisors, department heads, and works well with other staff.
• Consults with the director regarding assignments.
• Takes initiative to notice and correct problems to the physical plant without a work order or direction from the director.
• Completes all assigned maintenance work orders on utility components promptly and accurately.
• Reads gauges, meters, etc., with minimal supervision.
• Completes assigned inspections and keeps directors informed of needs and/or problems.
• Submits all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Available one week each month for on-call rotation or as needed.
• Participates in performance improvement and information management activities.
• Makes minor repairs of mechanical and electrical nature on equipment as assigned by the Director.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• 3+ years of HVAC and Plumbing experience in commercial and residential settings (required).
• HVAC and/or Plumbing license/certification (preferred).
• Valid Driver's License.
