Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment within Walmart facilities.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and hand, digital, and power tools.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart safety policies and environmental guidelines.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Lift up to 75 lbs, use ladders, and work at heights frequently.

• 10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
• 8 years of HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience and an AAS in A/C and refrigeration (preferred).
• Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or an associate’s of applied science in A/C and refrigeration (preferred).
• Excellent driving record (preferred).
• Prior work experience with glycol and CO2 systems (preferred).

• Competitive pay range of $26.00 – $51.00 per hour (actual rate may exceed the minimum based on experience).
