The BNSF Railway's
Transportation Department
plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe movement of goods across one of North America's largest freight rail transportation networks. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating and overseeing the complex logistics of rail transportation. Ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to safety, leadership, problem-solving skills, and a dedication to enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our transportation services.

• Assist in implementing policy and the execution of the operating plan.
• Supervise TY&E employees and plan daily train and switching operations consistent with safety and efficiency.
• Conduct operations tests and safety meetings. Investigate accidents and injuries.
• Monitor and control costs to meet goals.
• Insure compliance with BNSF's equal employment policies, safety and operating rules, schedule agreements, and government regulations.

• Must be currently certified as a BNSF First Line Supervisor.
• Must possess a working knowledge of operating rules and schedule agreements applicable to the TY&E crafts.
• Must possess leadership and organizational skills as well as excellent working knowledge of day-to-day railroad operations and practices.
• Must possess strong TSS Xpress system knowledge.
• Position requires a motivated, self-directed individual with excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic.
• Position will require shift, holiday, and weekend work

• Prior terminal and/or road operations experience is preferable.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, FRA, and EEO) is preferred.
