Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Retail Support
Position Summary
As a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department and deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate associates on tools, tasks, resources and mentor new technicians, communicating and developing interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS systems, product specifications and seasonality, and Point of Sale systems phone and in‑person selling techniques.
- Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement, using handheld technology and systems to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application and training, adapting to new tools and encouraging others.
- Communicate equipment/tools/supplies needs to TBC Lead, track and monitor returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, maintain accurate inventory, audit safety and compliance standards, report complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products/services and work areas, complete paperwork logs and documentation, ensuring merchandise is packaged, labeled and stored per company policies.
- Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues and concerns, act as a brand advocate and model high‑quality service and products, inspire others to work in a respectful, supportive, team‑oriented style, understand roadblocks, and assist in training teammates.
- Comply with company policies, procedures and ethics by implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy and applying them in business processes.
- Complete work assignments by using policies, data and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and partners, prioritizing, meeting deadlines, communicating progress, recommending improvements and adapting to change.
- Respect diversity, build trustful relationships, communicate with impact and positivity, and mentor to strengthen the team.
- Maintain integrity, uphold Walmart values, hold self and others accountable, and support Walmart’s regenerative mission.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

Minimum Qualifications- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Successfully complete all required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.
- Auto service industry experience.
- Retail experience.
