Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator)
Pet Vet Care Centers' Rancho Village Veterinary Hospital is currently seeking a Care Coordinator to join our team.
Position OverviewJoin our team as a Care Coordinator who contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. The role involves performing a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high‑stress situations.
- Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
- Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well‑being.
- Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
- Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
- Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
- Reconciles cash drawer and performs end‑of‑day duties for accurate financial transactions.
- 1–2 years experience as a receptionist / CSR within a veterinary setting.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of clerical procedures such as record keeping and organizational skills.
- Must be flexible with scheduling and able to work some weekends and holidays.
- Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation and/or extended periods of standing and/or walking.
- Some moderately physically demanding work, involving lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
- 4 shifts during the week with 1 shift on the weekend (either Saturday or Sunday).
- Must have open availability for either Saturday or Sunday.
