Landscape Architect - San Diego, CA - Part Time
Interwest Consulting Group was founded in 2002 and provides municipal services to cities and counties in the Western United States. We have over 400 employees specializing in public works, building and safety, planning, engineering, and real estate acquisition. We are seeking a talented and experienced Landscape Architect to join our team of professionals. This position offers a dynamic opportunity for motivated self-starters to work on a variety of assignments with a full complement of resources and exciting projects.
Knowledge,Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of landscape architecture, California native and drought-tolerant plants, and California’s MWELO water-conserving design requirements for landscape construction.
- Knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in landscape development and maintenance.
- Knowledge of current literature, trends, and developments in landscape architecture related to firewise plants and fuel modification design practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including online.
- Ability to use AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, and Bluebeam.
- Graduation from high school, or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited college or university or a closely related field
- California Licensed Landscape Architect
- Working technical knowledge of landscape architecture and construction techniques
- AutoCAD knowledge and skills
- Two (2) years or more of related experience, or any equivalent combination of related training and experience
COMPENSATION: $50 - $60 hourly
