Position Title: Director of Finance
Are you an experienced finance leader looking to make a meaningful impact in your community? Lead the financial operations of a respected public healthcare organization serving East County San Diego. This executive leadership role offers the opportunity to work directly with the CEO while overseeing budgeting, governmental accounting and long-term financial strategy for a mission-driven organization.
The Director of Finance will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of a governmental entity dedicated to enhancing community health and wellness. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in municipal finance and governmental accounting. The role demands strong analytical skills and the ability to present financial information effectively to a highly engaged Board of Directors.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 / Year DOE
Director Of Finance Responsibilities- Lead all finance and accounting operations
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Manage cash flow, investments, and banking relationships
- Oversee debt, bonds, pensions, and OPEB
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, audits, and compliance with government accounting standards
- Present financial reports to the Board of Directors
- Supervise the accounting team and improve financial processes and internal controls
- Local Government or public sector experience is required
- 5-8+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and reporting
- Experience managing debt, investments, and treasury functions
- Supervisory/management experience is required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Power Point Master 's degree is preferred
- CPA is preferred
