Role Description The Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinical setting, including performing assessments, diagnosing conditions, ordering and interpreting tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting in-person visits, managing chronic and acute conditions, prescribing medications within scope, and delivering patient education on disease prevention, treatment, and follow-up care. The role involves collaborating with physicians and other clinicians, coordinating referrals, updating electronic health records accurately, and participating in quality and safety initiatives.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at Haddad Clinic in La Mesa, CA, with regular interaction with patients and the care team throughout the workweek.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in California and national NP certification (e.g., AANP or ANCC).
  • Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management in an outpatient or primary care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, documentation best practices, and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with sound clinical judgment, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory, and patient-centered care, including maintaining patient confidentiality and safety standards.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field; prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care, internal medicine, or family practice is preferred.
  • Current BLS/ACLS certification and familiarity with relevant California and federal healthcare regulations.
