Adjunct - English Writing Program
Instructor of English Writing
The English Writing Program (EWP) at Biola University is accepting applications for part-time writing instructors, to begin August 2026. Courses are taught in person and may include ENGL 313, an upper-division writing-in-the-disciplines course; ENGL
112, a first-year critical thinking and writing course; and ENGL
100, a stretch-model writing course that includes mentoring teaching assistants. The EWP is committed to cultivating diversity and the integration of faith and learning.
Education and Experience
Required:
Candidates are required to have at least an MA in hand by the beginning of the Fall 2026 semester; candidates with a terminal degree (MFA or PhD) are preferred. Candidates with prior teaching experience, including graduate instruction, in rhetoric and composition are also preferred.

Hiring Range: $1,700-2,801 per unit, depending on degree/teaching experience
