Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

Well established manufacturing organization targeting a Controller to join the growing team!

Targeting an experienced Controller with strong expertise in manufacturing, inventory management, and cost accounting. This role will oversee financial operations, reporting.

Role is onsite La Mirada

130-150k + bonus

Duties:

• Prepare and manage monthly financial reports, including consolidated and entity-level statements, KPIs, and management dashboards.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments through established three-way matching procedures.
• Review monthly AP aging, accruals, and expense reporting.
• Manage global treasury operations and banking relationships in the U.S. and Mexico, including covenant reporting.
• Oversee inventory control functions, including cost updates, item setup, and periodic audits.
• Develop and maintain financial systems, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow planning.
• Lead company-wide risk assessments and coordinate insurance coverage with brokers.
• Manage ERP-related accounting activities and support finance-related system initiatives.
• Supervise the data reporting team responsible for operational, sales, and financial reporting.
• Review and approve bi-weekly payroll submissions and related reporting.
• Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and valuation firms for quarterly and annual reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.

• Demonstrated experience as a Controller in a mid-sized organization.
• Strong background in inventory control, manufacturing, and distribution environments.
• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems;
  Infor LN experience is a plus.
• Experience with cross-border or maquiladora operations is preferred.
• Spanish proficiency is a plus but not required.
